Information You Submit
A name, phone number, or address entered in a search form goes to the third-party provider that supplies the result service; our own servers keep no copy of the search. If you contact us, we receive the contents of your message. Sending that message gives us consent to use its details to answer you and support the site.
Technical Logs and Cookies
Our hosting records ordinary server-log fields such as IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and timestamps. We review those details in aggregate to maintain the site and understand which pages are used. Cookies or similar tools may support basic analytics and, where applicable, advertising measurement.
How We Use Limited Data
We use the limited data described above to operate Seaside Residents Directory, fix faults, measure traffic, and improve its pages. We follow data-minimization principles: we do not sell visitor lists or build profiles of individual users, and a contact message is used for its response and site-support purpose.
Links Beyond This Site
Seaside Residents Directory links to California and Monterey County records portals, library collections, archives, court services, and third-party search tools. Each outside service has its own privacy policy, which governs anything submitted there. The same applies to sponsored search results supplied by a third party.
Service Providers and Disclosures
Hosting and site-support providers may process server logs on our behalf. Analytics or advertising partners may receive the automatic data described above. We disclose information when valid legal process requires it, and otherwise limit disclosures to the purposes in this policy.
Security and Retention
The site uses an encrypted connection, and logs are retained only for as long as the purposes above require. There are no accounts here, so this site has no password or user profile of yours to expose.
Visitors Under 18
This reference site is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor sent us information, contact us and we will delete what we find.
California Privacy Choices
Depending on where you live and whether a law applies, you may have rights to know, correct, or delete personal data a website keeps about you. The California Attorney General's CCPA and CPRA guidance describes rights to know and delete subject to exceptions, correct information, opt out of sale or sharing including through Global Privacy Control, limit some sensitive-data use, and receive equal treatment for exercising a right. Because we keep very little, a request generally means checking our contact mailbox and server logs and removing what we find. Use the Contact page to ask. Public records held by Seaside, Monterey County, or California offices are outside our control; requests about a deed, case, voter file, license, or other government record belong with its custodian.
Changes to This Notice
When this policy changes, we will post the new version on this page. Continued use of Seaside Residents Directory after an update means you accept the revised notice.
